UCL: Why Atletico Madrid Beat Us 2-0 – Barcelona Manager Hansi Flick

Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has said that his team lost to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first leg tie on Wednesday because they were not lucky against the visitors.

Flick stated this at his post-match interview after the encounter at Camp Nou.

Two goals from Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sørloth handed Diego Simeone’s side a first-leg advantage against the Blaugrana.

“On the first goal, we needed to defend much better, and the red card led to a free-kick goal. We could’ve done better,” Flick said.

“We played well in the first and second half, even with a player less. We gave everything, but today luck was not on our side. It’s not over yet.
