Modakeke APC Inaugurates Leaders’ Council, Rallies Support for AMBO Ahead of Osun Guber Poll

Poised to work assiduously for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), during the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State, the Modakeke chapter of the APC has successfully inaugurated the apex arm of the party in the community in readiness for the governorship election and the management of the party in the community.

The apex body of the APC with the nomenclature of Modakeke APC Leaders’ Council(MALCO) under the chairmanship of Chief Wahab Bolarinwa Adetunji, the Asalu of Modakeke, has held its maiden meeting bothering on the modality for winning the forthcoming governorship election.

Addressing the members of the APC leadership council in his Modakeke country home on Saturday, the Asalu of Modakeke stated that it was a task for them to contribute their quota towards the electoral victory of their governorship candidate, Asiwaju Oyebamiji.

Chief Adetunji while welcoming all the APC leaders to the inaugural meeting explained that it’s incumbent upon the leaders to be meeting from time to time to enable them have a smooth ride and successful outing in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

The APC apex leader in the community couldn’t hold his joy for the turn out of the leaders at the meeting which prompted him to assure them that with their commitment and dedication, he was ready to lead the party to an enviable level and result-oriented stages in all the future elections.

It was resolved during the inauguration that it’s time to avoid any form of distraction and concentrate mainly on the task before the members; which is to ensure that they do everything both humanly and constitutionally possible to galvanize a huge number of votes for the APC in the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 governorship election which used to be the hallmark of the community.

It was extensively debated, unanimously resolved and ratified that as it was the practice during the eras of both the Late Chief Olubisi Olanrewaju, the Late Chief Adegboye Onigbinde and the leaders of other communities and towns in the state, the leaders’ meetings should be holding at the Asalu’s house from time to time.

A leader of the APC in Modakeke, Professor Benjamin Adekunle Eegunranti, the chairman of the medical team of AMBO Governorship Election Campaign Council in the state, canvassed for early notices of the future meetings to ensure proper planning for those that will be coming from outside the town.

Another leader of the progressive party in the ancient town, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the state APC Director of Media and Information who also doubles as the Co-chairman of the AMBO governorship election campaign council media committee(Print) in the state, enjoined the co-leaders to work with a common goal and expressed the needs to work more on publicity and suggested that a three-man committee be put in place for effective media works.

To this extent, after thorough deliberations, it was unanimously resolved that Mogaji Olabisi, Chief Daud A. Olasupo, the Olukosi of Modakeke and Engineer Femi Olatoye should take effective charge of the publicity and media works of the apex body.

A former chairman of the Area Office, the elated Honourable Wale Amusan, thanked Mogaji Olabisi for the roles he volunteered to play and implored all the leaders to work closely with him and his committee members, stating that a new direction has been set for the Modakeke Progressive family with the development.

Honourable Amusan also implored all the leaders to work with synergy among the party leaders and called on the state Director of the City Boy, Engineer Kayode Sowade, Executive Director(Engineering), Ogun, Osun River Basin Development Authority, to ensure that he carried all the leaders along in his activities.

Sowade in his own submission said there was no time to waste, imploring all the leaders of the APC in Modakeke to hit the ground running with a view to working as a team for the electoral victory of the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Oyebamiji, in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The Ogun, Osun River Basin Development Authority Executive Director stated that it was incumbent on all the leaders of the party to work assiduously as a team for the electoral victory of the APC governorship candidate in the overall development of the state that has suffered depravity of leadership for close to four years running.

It was also unanimously resolved that the APC chairman in the community, Honourable Goke Adebowale, should further intensify efforts in carrying along all the party leaders in his official capacity by ensuring prompt and proper dissemination of information from the state or within the community to the leaders.

All the leaders in attendance spoke glowingly on the urgent need to put all hands on deck for massive mobilization for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji in the August 15th, 2026 governorship election.

Also in attendance are Honourable Wale Popoola, Hon. Dixon Amola, former Area Office Council Chairman; Chief. Sakin Ajala; Hon. Kareem Ismaeel, former Special Adviser to Ex-Governor Gboyega Oyetola; Hon. Yinka Ajibade, Local Party Secretary and Engr. Femi Olatoye.
