The Maker’s Praise Foundation on Sunday organised the 13th edition of the annual The Maker’s Praise Concert 2021 with the theme, “Marvellous Love” (Jeremiah 31:3-4).
The program held at the popular Ire Akari Baptist Church, Isolo, Lagos and was equally streamed live.
The Convener of the Foundation, Rev Babajide Taiwo in his welcome speech appreciated all the covenant partners for their support for the project. He said that planning for the Concert began in January. He thanked all the members of the Foundation and invited guests.
In his address, the President, Lagos East Baptist Conference, Rev Dr Matthew Olawale Awujoola who incidentally was the immediate past Minister in Charge of the host Church appreciated the consistency of Rev Babajide Taiwo and his team for organising the Concert annually since its maiden edition. He read from Isaiah Chapter Seven, verse Five. Awujoola assured the audience that God is a covenant keeping God and would fulfill His covenant in the lives of the participants of the programme.
The Host Pastor, Rev. Emmanuel Olu Adisa welcomed participants to the programme. He stressed that Ire Akari Baptist Church was a home to all and appreciated the Convener of the team, Babajide and all members of the team for the great work they were doing.
The first session saw seven different songs out of which six were newly composed songs rendered as worshippers had true encounter with their makers through the soul-lifting songs. Other two sessions were filled with different genres of music including Christian Afro classical.
Invited guests that ministered at the event included, Bro. Gbenga Akinfenwa Praise Band, Sister Adeola Martins, Charity Singers and the popular Winrinwinrin among others.
Rev. Mrs. Obada of Okota Baptist Church prayed for all the Covenant partners who are the major supporters of The Maker’s Praise Foundation that was championing the Father’s search for true worshippers across the globe.
Speaking with journalists, the Convener said that The Maker’s Praise Foundation started in 2009 with the theme “Created for Glory. (Isaiah 43:7)” stressing that 2021 makes it 13th edition.
He said that the Foundation’s cardinal mission is “to champion the Father’s search for true worshippers.( John 4:23); gather men and women to join the Heavenly creature in the worship of our creator with understanding and purposefulness. (Rev 4: 4-11); and be a platform for the restoration of the tabernacle of David in Churches (Amos 9: 11).”
Commenting on the 13th edition, he said “it was awesome and glorious. The host Choir and guest Ministers performed with special Grace of God and all the worshippers experienced great outpouring of His Marvelous Blessings. I know that the next edition which is next year will be more glorious than this because the glory of the latter shall surpass the former.” He said.
Babajide appreciated the family of the President of the Lagos East Baptist Conference, Rev Dr Awujoola, the host Pastor, Rev Adisa, covenant partners, and overwhelming worshippers that joined physically and virtually.
