Ilorin Grammar School, (IGS) 50-year-old widow Mrs. Folashade Ajayi, is now in the Junior Secondary School 3 after completing the whole session of the Junior Secondary School 2

Mrs. Ajayi Folashade in February 2021 caused a stir after enrolling as a Junior Secondary School 2 student at the Ilorin Grammar School in Kwara State.

Blaze Newz gathered that Mrs. Ajayi Folashade enrolled at the Government Agency for Mass Literacy where she obtained a certificate in adult education, because of her love to go to school, also she attended adult school in 2017, while she took her Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination at Government High School, Adeta, Ilorin in 2017 after which she passed the examination and was offered a Primary School Leaving Certificate, before enrolling into the Ilorin Grammar School.

Aunty Shade as she’s been addressed by every teacher in school is the prefect on special duties for the school.

Her class teacher, Mrs. Abdulsalam while responding to our correspondent on the academic assessment of the old widow, reassured her excellent performances.

A couple of students of the school who attended to series of questions from our correspondent, said: “Aunty Shade has been friendly and very intellectual in class.”

Mrs. Ajayi Folashade in her words said, “I want to be educated and acquire knowledge. I want to be able to express myself by speaking English fluently like other people and am finding the school atmosphere friendly, I am
coping”.

“After finishing secondary school, I still have an aim to go to a higher institution because I have a passion for formal education. Given the opportunity, I will go to a higher institution but that depends on the will of God”.
