The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Honourable Durojaye Isaac, has said that the Ile-Ife flyover bridge would open economy of Ile-Ife and its environs, saying it would deepen the Osun Eastern economy and beautify the ancient town.
Durojaye made this known in an interview with journalists on Tuesday.
According to him, today marked the significant milestone in the history of Ile-Ife as this is what we have waiting for to happen in the town. It is a great event.
He described the project as a significant one in the history of the town, adding that when completed, it would give access to human and vehicular movement and reduce congestion in the place.
He said the project is long over-due because of the roles the town played in the economy of the state. He noted that Ile-Ife needed to be given attention in terms of infrastructural development.
The Special Adviser stressed that the flyover would boost economy of the town and wear a new face as the cradle of Yorubaland, adding that all Ifes are going to support the project for quick completion and use because it is a gateway to more development.
He therefore, called on Ife people to continue to support the present administration for more developments to come to the town and ensure that all projects highlighted by the government are completed
