Protests in Osun State have brought business activities to a standstill, with many enterprises forced to close temporarily.
The youths in their numbers Protesters stormed streets of Osogbo, state capital, with placards with messages such as “End Bad Governance” and ” we need Food Price Control Now”.
Comrade Ajala Adetunji, coordinator of the Coalition of Concerned Nigeria Citizens in Osun, called on President Bola Tinubu to review policies affecting the masses.
He urged the president to return petrol prices to N187 and review all policies negatively impacting the masses.
Adetunji noted that youths are the largest population who are also suffer from present situation.
He warned that those supporting the government against the people will face divine judgment.
Also, Comrade Segun Oyewale, spokesperson for the protest organizers, assured that the demonstration would be peaceful and urged security personnel to remain professional.
He distinguished the protesters from “enemies of the state” who might vandalize properties.
The protests highlight the growing discontent among Nigerian youths, who demand better living conditions and economic opportunities.
