Osun At 33: Salam Praises Founding Fathers, Commends Adeleke For Keeping The Flag Flying

As Osun State marks its 33rd anniversary, The Chairman of the House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee, Rep. Bamidele Salam, has praised the vision, commitment, and dedication of the founding fathers and the agitators who had in mind and did everything possible to realize the vision and laid the foundation for the state’s growth and development on August 27, 1991.

Salam, who is representing the people of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, also commended Governor Ademola Adeleke, the 6th civilian Governor of the state, for his tireless efforts in keeping the flag of progress flying high.

“We salute the pioneering spirit of our founding fathers who, 33 years ago, dared to dream of a better future for our people,

We pay tribute to our visionary founding fathers, royal fathers who paved the way for our state’s creation. We honor the memories of; The late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, The late Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Oyewale Matanmi, The late Orangun of Ila, Oba William Ayeni, Ariwajoye II and other prominent traditional rulers who played significant roles in shaping our state.

We also recognize the tireless efforts of politicians and activists who fought for Osun State’s creation, including the late Chief Bola Ige, Late Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, Late Senator Raji Adeleke, Pa Samson Adeola Siyanbola, Chief Kolawole Balogun And many others who contributed to our state’s history

“Their selfless contributions have paved the way for the achievements we celebrate today” Salam noted.

Rep. Salam also acknowledged the significant strides made by Governor Adeleke, saying, “Under his leadership, Osun State has continued to thrive, and we commend his commitment to the welfare and prosperity of our citizens.”

He extended his warmest congratulations to the people of Osun State, saying, “This milestone is a testament to our collective resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit.

We celebrate not just the state’s growth but also the indomitable will of its people.”

As Osun State continues to forge ahead, Salam reaffirmed his representation dedication to building on the legacy of progress and ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
