Osun CDHR Mourns Loss Of Comrade Bello Moshood (Igbin)

The Osun State chapter of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR) has mourned the passing of its member Comrade Bello Moshood, popularly known as Comrade Igbin.

He died on September 1st, 2024, after a brief illness and was buried in his hometown of Igbaye, Ido-Otin Local Government, Osun State.

According to statement signed by the CDHR State Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Olowu “With heavy heath, we of the Osun CDHR are using medium to inform the public of the death of a member, Comrade Bello Moshood, popularly called Igbin.

“It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our beloved comrade, Comrade Bello Moshood, popularly known as Comrade Igbin.

“Comrade Bello was a dedicated Human Rights activist and a valued member of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR).

“He passed away after a brief sickness and has been laid to rest in his hometown of IGBAYE today in Ido-Otin Local Government of Osun State, on the 2nd of September 2024.

“Comrade Bello’s journey to activism started as a student activist at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, where he fought tirelessly for the rights of his fellow students.

“He eventually rose to the position of student union president at the Polytechnic of Offa 2005- 2006

“Throughout his life, he remained committed to the cause of human rights and social justice, aligning his political beliefs with the Progressive Party in Nigeria.

“Comrade Bello will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

“His passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the defense of human rights will always be remembered. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in peace.”
