The pair clashed in 2019 in a battle for the vacant British heavyweight title and Dubois demonstrated his devastating power he hopes to bring to his upcoming battle with Oleksandr Usyk.
TNT Sports released behind the scenes of footage and prior to the fight they interviewed Fury, who was backing his cousin, but admitted Dubois is a formidable opponent.
“Obviously Nathan’s my cousin, so I think Nathan will win,” Fury said, before continuing: “[Dubois] is a scary looking dude, he’s big, he’s muscular, he can punch really hard.”
As the fight approached, Fury – who was not yet the two-time heavyweight champion – walked his cousin to the ring and sat at ringside to soak up the action.
Dubois came out quickly, throwing heavy shots from the opening bell and as the camera panned to Fury, he was urging Gorman on, but he had a nervous look on his face.
In round three ‘Dynamite’ Dubois showed why he has his nickname, as he dropped Gorman with a big right hand.
Fury stroked his chin, clearly not enjoying what he was seeing, but Gorman bravely made it back to his feet.
And with that Gorman fought back, throwing wild combinations, but Dubois looked relatively unfazed.
In round five Fury was out of his seat shouting at his cousin in an attempt to motivate him, but it was in vain, as moments later Gorman was KO’d by a thunderous shot from Dubois.
‘The Gypsy King’ looked gutted with the result at ringside, but he made sure to climb in the ring after the fight and show respect to Dubois.
And now, four years on, Dubois has the opportunity to become unified heavyweight world champion when he takes on reigning champion Usyk on August 26 in Poland.
He knows it will be an altogether different environment as does his trainer, Don Charles, who understands it’s going to be very pro Ukrainian given the number of Usyk’s compatriots who have been displaced from their homes as a result of Russia’s invasion and settled in Wroclaw.
“We knew, when they won the purse bid, the first thing that came to mind is it’s going to be quite a hostile atmosphere.
“Apparently there’s about a quarter of a million Ukrainians who are based and settled in that particular area where the fight is going to take place.”
Charles took his fighter to Spain to train well above sea level to make Brit Dubois feel as uncomfortable as possible.
