Bride Dies Hours After Wedding In Kano

Tragedy has struck residents of Kawon Maigari area of Kano metropolis as a 28-year-old woman, Hannatu Yahaya died some hours after her wedding ceremony.

The deceased, Hannatu with her husband, Isyaka Yusuf tied the knot at Bulama mosque in Kano on Saturday morning and she died in the evening while preparation was on top gear to take her to her groom.

It was gathered that she died from an unconfirmed illness associated with a stomach ache.

The deceased brother, Ayyuba Yahaya confirmed the sad development.

Yahaya said the deceased had no history of any illness until a couple of weeks ago.

However, the groom, Isyaka Yusuf decline to comment when approached to react to the development.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
