The Chairman of Modakeke Progressive Union (MPU), Osogbo Chapter, Mr. Yinka Odewale, has expressed gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Abidemi Olanipekun (Larooye II), the Ataoja of Osogbo, over the conferment of the titles of Atorise Eto Eko and Yeye Atorise Eto Eko on two prominent Modakeke indigenes, Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole and Alhaja Mujidat Dasola Kolawole respectively.

The conferment of the titles on Mr. Kolawole was part of Ataoja’s 10th year coronation anniversary, held at the palace of the Oba, and grand finale at Osogbo City Stadium, on Saturday, 12th September 2020.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by Odewale and available to newsmen in Osogbo, on Sunday, he said Mr. Kolawole has shown that Modakeke indigene are resourceful in all ramifications.

The MPU chairman who is the Council Manager, Ila Local Government, Ila-Orangun and Chairman, Osun State Forum of Council Managers, also felicitates with the Kolawole’s on their well-deserved titles.

He described Chief Kolawole, the Atayese of Ashipa and the Oluomo of Modakeke, as a unique mentor of youths ; an accomplished manager of human capital resources; a successful administrator; a quintessential achiever and a community man per excellence!

Odewale said the entire sons and daughters of Modakeke, residing in Osogbo, will continue to be law-abiding, and supportive of all activities meant to raise the status of Osogbo as the state capital.

He also eulogised the Executive Governor of Osun state, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, on his various infrastructural developments, particularly road construction and rehabilitation which are going on across the entire state, in spite of obvious paucity of fund.

“It will be unfair on my part, as a civil servant, if l fail to appreciate Governor Oyetola for his timely payment of workers’ salary, and in full”, he said

He therefore, promised that the people of Modakeke wherever they may be will continue to support and pray for the success of Oyetola’s administration.
