The Osogbo-born philanthropist cum politician, Ibrahim Taofeeq Kayode (ITK) has disclosed why he’s contesting for the House of Representatives to represent Osogbo federal constituency.
In a media chat with Ibrahim made this known, saying his upbringing and decision to stay among his people have availed him the opportunity to understand the peculiarities of the people of Osogbo and other towns that make up the federal constituency.
He said: “My upbringing here and my decisions to stay here and do business, afforded me the opportunity to completely understand the peculiarities of the people of Osogbo and all of the towns around it.
“I also came to understand the yearnings of the people dwelling in these places and the best kind of intervention that they require.
“I understand what they saw in me as my antecedents are well known. A lot of our youths are employed in several businesses I own within Osogbo and surrounding towns.
“I have been instrumental to the development of several people and communities within the Constituency, to the glory of God.
Speaking about his academic background, the CEO, Shekeenah Zelter said he’s well read and still studying.
“I must say that being initially focused on business did not deter me from pursuing academic laurels as I am in fact, presently pursuing a number of academic degrees to boost my knowledge and capacity within the industries that I operate.
Asked what he will do differently if elected, Ibrahim said that Osogbo federal constituency will witness a massive turnaround in terms of human and capital development.
“Our Federal Constituency will witness massive development with my representation and Osun State will also continue to advance under the visionary leadership of Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, now and in his second term of office.
