The Kano state governor-elect, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has warned all individuals, groups, and organisations that have ongoing construction in public places to discontinue any construction work on public land within and around all schools in the State.
This was just as he stated that any contravener does so at his own risk.
He also warned those that were encroaching on all religious and cultural sites, hospitals, graveyards, and along the city walls of the State,
to desist forthwith.
This was contained in a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor-elect, which was made available to journalists on Friday.
The statement partly read: “You are advised to discontinue any construction work on public land within and around the following: All schools in the State, all religious and cultural sites in the State, all hospitals in the State, all graveyards in the State, and along the city walls of Kano.’’
The Governor-elect also advised the public to discontinue the demolition of, and the construction of, all existing public buildings belonging to the government and people of Kano State.
He stated that this advisory is issued in the public interest, effective from Thursday 30th March 2023 till further notice, adding that any contravener does so at his own risk.
