The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, has congratulated Christians across the State and beyond on the successful completion of the year’s Lenten season and the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Vice-Chancellor’s felicitation was contained in a statement issued by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, on Saturday, 8th April, 2023.
According to the release, the Vice-Chancellor, congratulated all Christians as they celebrate Easter and urged them to embrace the Love of Christ as they celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Professor Adebooye also urged Christians to return to the teachings of Jesus Christ who, as ‘the reason for the season’, represents religious tolerance, peaceful co-existence, good faith, truthfulness, empathy for the less privileged, and patriotism to one’s place of work, State and Country at large.
He further appealed passionately to all UNIOSUN Staff to put in their best in order to make the University great and for it to be one of the top ranked Universities in the world.
He stated further:
“On behalf of the Council, Senate, Management, Staff and Students of Osun State University, I wish all Christians a happy Easter celebration.”
