Prof Lateef Salawu, the Professor of Haematology, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), has emerged as new Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, Engr Funso Adeniyi, made the announcement, on Monday, at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife.
Adeniyi, who held the meeting with the stakeholders of the teaching hospital which includes, Dr Afolabi Owojuyigbe, former Acting CMD and Prof Olayinka Adegbehingbe, who acted for a-week,for complete 7 hours, saying the crisis had been resolved.
“All crisis is resolved, while OAUTHC is back to it’s stand, all faction issues had also resolved”.he stated.
According to him, processes for appointment of substantive Chief Medical Director would started in earnest.
It is reported that the new Acting CMD, whose appointment takes effect immediately, would act for a maximum of six-month.
