A traditional ruler in Osun, Alara of Ara kingdom, Oba Olubayo Adesola Windapo, has called on the federal government to channel security votes of states and local governments to local authorities in order to empower them to curb the rising cases of killing and kidnapping in Nigeria.

Oba Williams made this call during the 20 year anniversary of Christ Apostolic Church, Ori Oke Anu, Osogbo, Osun State capital.

Commenting on the gruesome killings of traditional rulers in Ekiti and Kwara by suspected Fulani herdsmen, the monarch insisted that they (traditional rulers) understand the nooks and crannies of their domains than governors and local government chairmen, hence, they were in best position to provide security of life and property to the people.

According to the monarch “It is the local authorities, the Obas and chiefs that should be paid, we are the ones that can tell you how our terran is.

“No body can come to our terrains without us not knowing, he added.

He, however, dismissed the insinuation that kidnapping, harassment and killing are done by Fulanis , saying “a lot of our people are also doing it hiding under the guise of Fulanis.”

In his own view, Oba Pastor Adekoyejo Adebusoye Oyebamiji the Oluwoye of Iwoye said the country which is experiencing breach of security is under serious crisis, called on all concerned leaders to be holistic in their approach.

He stressed that the security architecture put in place should be changed in order to have a new outlook in Nigeria.

Founders of the Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Peace and Mercy (Ori-Oke Aanu, Prophet Dr George and Lady Evangelist George Oluwoye emphasized the need for all Nigeria leaders and followers to return to God to solve all challenges facing the nation, saying no human being can end Nigeria’s problems.

According to the clerics ” if we continue to place human being in the position of God, we will fail .

“If we can all return to God, He is still merciful, He will embrace us as the Father, he added.
