Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Diran Odeyemi, will today welcome Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State to Obokun Local Government as he arrives the town to inaugurates Agropreneur projects in Imesi-Ile.
Honourable (Prince) Odeyemi, who is also the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Osun State College of Technology (OSCOTECH), Esa-Oke in a statement in his Ibokun home on Tuesday, said it was heartwarming to welcome the governor to the local government.
Odeyemi said the agropreneurial project is another testimony of the love the governor has for Obokun and Ijesa North, adding that the people of the area had decided to continue to support him beyond his first term in office.
He described Adeleke as a performing governor, highlighting the numerous projects the governor has done in Ijesa North Constituency.
“The Adeleke administration has consistently demonstrated its commitment to equitable governance and inclusive development across Osun State, including Obokun and Oriade local governments.
“The list of completed and ongoing projects in this Constituency speaks volumes.
“In Oriade Local Government, schools repair and renovation works have been carried out at Apoti Community Grammar School, Apoti, All Saints’ Primary School, Dagbaja, and Ere Ijesa High School, Ere. “New blocks of classrooms were constructed at Surajudeen Primary School, Owena Ijesa, and Community Primary School, Kajola Adedeji.
“In healthcare, PHCs have been provided in Erin Ijesha, Erin Oke, and Ira Ikeji. They have been upgraded and renovated to enhance access to quality healthcare.
On roads construction, the Itamerin Junction-Oke Agunla-Bishop’s Court Road in Ipetu Ijesa has been rehabilitated to improve connectivity.
“Also in Obokun Local Government, blocks of classrooms were renovated at Methodist Primary School, Ilare, while motorized deep wells were installed at St. Paul Primary School, Ilase, and Methodist Primary School, Iregun.
“PHCs in Ajedan, Imesi Ile, and Ilare have undergone significant upgrades and renovations.
“Major road projects include the construction of Odowo-Ayetoro Junction-Oja Tuntun-Igbajo/Imesi Ile Road and Oke Oye-Oke Ita Road with spurs to Ogodogbo and Temidire Road in Ibokun. 1.5 Kilometer roads have also been constructed in Ilare, Imesi-Ile and Ibokun.
“These projects reflect the administration’s deliberate efforts to enhance education, healthcare, and infrastructure across the region.
“In terms of appointments, Ijesa North has received significant representation in the current administration. Governor Ademola Adeleke has ensured a fair and balanced distribution of appointments across all zones in Osun State. Ijesa North, in particular, has benefited from three commissioners, along with advisers, a board chairman, and other appointees,” Odeyemi said.
He urged the people of Obokun and Ijesa North to troop out to welcome the governor, asking them to continue to support the Adeleke-led administration.
