Just few days after the management of Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka started admission into degree programmes in the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, authourities of the University of Ilorin, have equally started admission of students for 2024/2025 academic session to be run in the campus of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

A correspondent signed by Alhaji Abubakar Girei, the Director of Academic Planning of the University and addressed to the Rector of Osun State Polytechnic Iree states that “The Vice Chancellor is pleased to recall that resource verification visit carried out by panels of experts to some proposed academic programmes in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State, `in affiliation with University of Ilorin, Kwara State with a view to assessing the human and material resources available for the establishment,
I am directed to inform the Rector that the Ag. Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the Full-Time mode of the following undergraduate programmes to be run in the Main Campus of the Polytechnic with effect from 2024/2025 academic session.

Ten courses have been duly accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Management Studies and Financial Studies.”

The degree courses to be run in the Polytechnic include; Mathematics, Microbiology, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Food Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration and Accounting.

The Registrar of the Polytechnic, Mr Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede calls on interested applicants who sat for the 2024 Post UTME and scored 180 and above to change their choice of Institution on the JAMB Portal and apply for anyone of the degree courses listed above.
