As Muslims all over the world celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir today, the Rector, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, has charged the Islamic faithful in the Institution to be more obedient, dedicated, diligent and love one another.
Mr Alabi, in a message he personally authored, urged the Islamic faithful to borrow a leaf from the life of Allah who yielded to the instructions of God to sacrifice his only begotten son in obedience to God.
The Rector said, “the lessons of humility, love and charity exhibited in the Eid-el-Kabir festival are good virtues which we should embrace in our daily lives.”
He admonished the entire Polytechnic Community to be more loving, tolerant, charitable and dedicated to their duties.
Alabi enthused that “this festival should not only be characterised with merriments, but dedicated for prayers, especially, at this period when Nigeria and Osun State are in need of fervent prayers.
The Rector charged the Muslims to pray for the continued peace and tranquility in the state. He also noted that “Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke’s victory in the 2026 election should be a cardinal prayer point of the people at this unique spiritual celebration.”
