Be Thankful to God for Gift of Life, Stop Complaining — Osun-CSDP, Abokede

The General Manager of Osun-CSDP, Mrs Funmi Abokede has urged Nigerians to embrace gratitude to God for the gift of life and to desist from excessive complaints, noting that thanksgiving remains essential in challenging times.

Speaking in at a praise concerts in Jesus Christ organized by Victory Life Ministry International, Abere Chapel, expressed gratitude to God for Nigeria, Osun State acknowledging God’s continuous guidance over the nation and its people.

She expressed confidence that divine help will continue to uphold the nation, stressing that the peace of God is key to stability and progress.

She called on individuals to adopt a positive mindset by appreciating God rather than focusing on complaints.

According to her, “I thank God Almighty for sparing our life and the lives of our loved ones. I give God all the glory. I thank God for Nigeria and Osun State, I also thank God for what He is doing in His Church, for the Church is marching on, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, in Jesus’ name.

“I am grateful for God’s mercy and faithfulness. I know that the Lord will help us, and His faithfulness will keep Nigeria and Osun State going. The peace of God will sustain us, in Jesus’ name.

“This is a time to appreciate God. We should stop complaining and instead be grateful for all He has done for us. The Scriptures remind us that even in our supplications, we should give thanks to God for what He has done, for what He is doing now, and for what He will yet do. We must remain forever grateful to God for His abundant mercies.”

Also speaking, Dr. Oyebamiji, called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for peace across the country, stressing that national security remains the foundation for resolving other challenges facing the nation.

According to Dr. Oyebamiji beyond prayers for peace, Nigerians must also cultivate a spirit of gratitude.

“To every individual should remain thankful. It is not by our own power or wisdom, but by the Spirit of the Lord that we have been able to journey from January to the end of the year. This is no small achievement, and we must be grateful for the gift of life. Many who started the year with us are no longer alive today. Some did not even make it beyond January. We should keep this in mind and continually give thanks to God, so that we may receive more blessings.”

Mrs. Aduke Obelawo expressed deep gratitude to God for the preservation of life and the grace that has sustained throughout the year.

Obelawo said the journey and achievements are not by personal strength, might, or ability, but by God’s grace.

She noted that leading the flock of Christ is a demanding responsibility, stressing that God has remained her source of strength.

According to her, “We cannot thank Him enough; we can only continue to thank Him even more. God has been so faithful from January to December, and this is no small thing. Many have passed on, but we are still alive not because we know how to do it, not because of our prayers, and not because of our goodness, but purely by His grace.

“Today’s gathering was organized simply to praise Him from the bottom of our hearts.”

Similarly, a deaconess at the Victory Life Ministry International, Abere Chapel, Funke Ogunshola said the church organized the concert to celebrate Christ and praise God.

She said we organize this concert during this Christmas period to praise God and we call other Christian members from another churches all musical ministers to come and celebrate Christ with us in praise

“What gave us this inspiration is that if you don’t know how to praise God individually but when you see the people of God praising God your spirit will be lifted to praise him and when we praise God together victories battles are won that’s why we organized this concert”.
