She advised children to remain obedient to their parents, stay focused on their studies and avoid social vices.

According to her, “It is a day of joy to thank God for the blessing of having wonderful children across the globe. The Eid-el-Kabir celebration also reflects the spirit of utmost sacrifice, as seen in the story of a parent who was commanded to sacrifice his only son and was willing to obey before Allah replaced sorrow with joy.

“Today, I wish all our wonderful children in Osun State a happy celebration and a happy Children’s Day. I pray that you all grow to become responsible citizens of the state and achieve your aspirations in life.

“I also want to use this opportunity to encourage parents that this is the time to make choices that will lead to a prosperous future for our children. When it is time to vote, we should vote with the future of our children in mind. We should support someone who will invest in the education of our children and someone who is prepared and structured to lead Osun State to greater prosperity.

“Children should obey their parents because they are the ones who truly love you the most. If they encourage you to focus on your studies, it is because they want you to have a bright future. Do not join bad gangs and do not use drugs because they can only destroy lives,” She admonished.
