President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to extend love and sharing to each other in the spirit of Christmas, pushing the message of love, hope and joy that Jesus brought to the world.

Represented by his Personal Assistant on Constituency Matters, Hon Kareem Khadijat Omotayo, the President made the appeal at the 14th Christmas Carol of Adeleke University held at the University campus, Ede on Sunday evening.

“I bring the best wishes of Mr President to the university community, the Adeleke family and the government and people of Osun state. We are here celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ. The essence of the celebration is to share and spread love and hope among our people.

“As a nation, we need to embrace the lessons of hope and love. We must see each other as one and ensure we positively touch humanity no matter how small. The more we help humanity, the wider our blessings.

“Mr President tasks us to keep hope alive and deepen partnership and cooperation for national prosperity and unity. The blessings of the era will surely be ours”, the presidential message posited.

The same line was echoed by Governor Ademola Adeleke who preached forgiveness, love and hope as the world entered the celebration mood in memory of the birth of Jesus Christ.

“We must give and support each other, Giving is the blessing of God. We must show gratitude as part of the celebration. That is why you see me regularly dancing and praising God.

“Nothing is small. We must share love and hope. Even kind words extended to a grieving person can make a difference”, the Governor noted.

The Pro-Chancellor of the University, Dr Adedeji Adeleke in his remarks called for prayers for the nation as divine guidance and support is the foundation of worldly success.

According to the billionaire businessman, every Christmas is a reminder of the essence of sacrifice, giving, love and hope as a platform to achieve both worlds and heavenly grace.

“I congratulate us all on this 14th Christmas Carol. We have gone far from where we started. Let us keep tight to our hearts the lessons of this period”, the business mogul noted.

The event attended by top government officials, clerics, guests from far and near had a Bible reading session by the matriarch of the Adeleke family, Yeye Dupe Adeleke- Sanni.
