Federal Lawmakers, Captains of Industry, Security Chiefs, Media Executives and Traditional Rulers are among the dignitaries expected to grace the 2024 edition of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation Chapel’s Pen Week, penultimate next week.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the planning committee, Comrade Olawumi Olaniyi, while briefing the executives of the union on how far her team has gone in enduring a successful outing this year.
According to the lineups, the Chapel’s chairman, Comrade Lateef Agboola, will lead other Excos and members of the union to the C&S Cathedral, Egbatedo Headquarters, Osogbo on Sunday, 22 for the Service to usher in the 2024 edition of the annual event, to be followed by a free medical check-up on Monday, 23rd, as powered by Pathway Hospital, Osogbo.
The Grand finale of the OSBC Pen Week, tagged *Ancestors Day* is expected to be graced by dignitaries in Nigeria and in the diaspora. Among them are members of the national Assembly, including Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunla, Hon. Maruf Adewale Gangaria, Hon. Olusoji Abidemi Adetunji, Hon. Bamidele Salam and the Executive Director of the Nigerian Port Authority, NPA, Lagos, Engr Olalekan Badmus.
Other Eminent Personalities billed to attend NUJ OSBC Pen Week are the chairman, Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC, Barr. Hashim Abioye; the Commander of Amotekun Corps, Osun State, Dr Isaac Adekunle Omoyele; Otunba Rotimi Rominiyi, from United Kingdom, Chief Ayo Agboola, from United States of America as well as the General Manager of Crown FM and that of Timsed FM.
The Royal Host is the Olowu of Kuta Kingdom, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Tegbosun, CON, who doubles as the Life Patron of the chapel; while the Olororuwo of Ororuwo, Oba Qamarudeen Adeyemi Alawode IV is the Royal Father of the day. DIG Gazali Adewale Lawal (Rtd) is the Father of the Day; with the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on OSBC Conglomerate, Dr Femi Adefila, the Chairman, OSBC Board of Directors, Engineer Mayowa Olosho: the Director General/ Permanent Secretary of the media organization, Mrs Jolaade Igbaroola and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Mrs Abimbola Babatunde, as Chief Hosts.
The weeklong event would be rounded off with Thanksgiving Jumat Service on Friday, 27th of this month and a reception shortly after the Jumat Service.
