The Grand Mufti, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan has said there is need for all Muslims to come together to promote peace and unity.
Molaasan ,who is also the National President of Jama’at Taawunil disclosed that he is ready to intervene on issues that are causing disunity among the Muslim youths in the Yorubaland.
The cleric stated this at the reception organized by the Jama’at Taawunil in his honor during the weekend in Iwo, Osun State.
He said his intention is to unit Muslims and re-orientate people about the real Islam.
According to him, We want to call on our Islamic scholars to our Secretariat to talk about the issues that are causing disunity among the Muslims to give an authentic position according to Islam.
“We must organize our religion very well to show the beauty of Islam because we are not in Islamic State.
Speaking, the chairman of the program, Barrister Lasisi Taiwo charged Nigerians on unity irrespective of their religious belief.
The legal practitioner called on the citizens to support the government to conquer insecurity across the country.
According to him, “Both Muslims and Christians need to be united and support the government in stabilizing security of the country.
