Human Rights Activist, Comrade Ayo Ologun has said that if Nigeria is a saint country by now former Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti would have been arrested for investigation for alleging Governor Gboyega Oyetola and All Progressives Congress,APC, of buying votes during the Osun 2018 gubernatorial election.
Adeoti, who was also governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in 2018 made the revelation while addressing member of The Osun Progressives ,TOP, during the week.
The former SSG said voters were paid thousands of naira to lure them to vote in favor of Governor Oyetola in 2018.
Speaking on the vote buying allegation, Ologun on Rave FM, Osogbo on Saturday said Adeoti’s claim that he was part of those who bought votes for Governor Oyetola during the 2018 governorship rerun was self indictment that should be investigated.
“If we live in a saint country Baba Adeoti would be in EFCC office or police station today writing statements on a daily basis”
Ologun who frowned to the revelation from the former SSG said, Adeoti should tell the world where the money for the alleged vote buying came from, if the money was from the state purse then someone should be answering questions now.
Blaze Newz reported that Adeoti and other prominent APC members in the state officially joined The Osun Progressives, TOP, with the aim to unseat Governor Gboyega Oyetola in 2022.
