Ex-Osun Lawmaker, Kamil Oyedele Celebrates Asiwaju Khamis Badmus at 80

A former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Kamil Temitope Oyedele, has described Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus as a symbol of selfless service, wisdom and leadership as he clocked 80 years.

Oyedele, who represented Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2019, stated this in a congratulatory message made available to journalists on the occasion of Badmus’ 80th birthday anniversary.

In the statement he signed and made available to journalists, the Fellow of the Chartered National Accountants described the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland as an exceptional leader, philanthropist and father figure whose contributions to humanity and community development have continued to inspire many people across the country.

“On this remarkable occasion of your 80th birthday, I join family, friends, associates, and well-wishers across the nation in celebrating an exceptional leader, distinguished statesman, philanthropist, and father figure, Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus,” he said.

According to Oyedele, Badmus’ life has remained a shining example of humility, service and commitment to societal growth, noting that his dedication to peace, unity and progress distinguished him among his contemporaries.

“Your life has remained a shining example of service, humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the growth of society and the advancement of humanity,” he stated.

He further praised the octogenarian for what he described as visionary leadership and generosity, saying his influence and legacy would continue to impact generations.

“Through your visionary leadership, generosity of spirit, and dedication to the values of peace, unity, and progress, you have continued to inspire generations,” Oyedele added.

The former lawmaker noted that attaining the age of 80 in honour and good health was worthy of celebration, stressing that Badmus’ record of impactful service and devotion to humanity remains admirable.

“At 80, your legacy of impactful service, community development, and steadfast devotion to the upliftment of people stands tall as a source of pride and admiration,” he said.

Oyedele also prayed for continued good health, strength and more fruitful years for Badmus.

“As you celebrate this milestone, we pray that Almighty Allah grants you continued good health, strength, divine protection, and many more fruitful years filled with peace, joy, and fulfillment,” he added.
