Residents and beneficiaries of Boluwaduro Local Government Area have expressed excitement and gratitude following the distribution of ₦50,000 empowerment grants by the Council Chairman, Alhaji Bayo Oyekanmi, aimed at supporting small-scale businesses and improving livelihoods across the area. The empowerment initiative, which targeted traders, artisans, and vulnerable residents, was designed to strengthen grassroots economic activities and reduce financial hardship among community members. Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Council Chairman, Alhaji Bayo Oyekanmi, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, noting that the gesture was part of ongoing efforts to support residents in expanding their businesses and achieving financial stability. He explained that the programme was carefully structured to reach those actively engaged in petty trading and small-scale enterprises, adding that empowering local people remains a key priority of his leadership in alignment with the objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Reaffirming his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyekanmi expressed confidence that the party will continue to deliver impactful governance, deepen democratic values, and expand development across all levels. He also appealed to residents to support the Bola–Oyebamiji (AMBO) candidature in the August 15 governorship election, urging continued unity and participation in the democratic process. One of the beneficiaries, Olalekan Ayobami, expressed joy and appreciation, describing the intervention as timely and impactful. Many of the beneficiaries pledged to use the funds judiciously to improve and expand their businesses. Some residents commended the chairman for what they described as a people-oriented leadership style, urging continued support for similar initiatives that directly affect the welfare of the people. ADULAWO NEWS reports that the empowerment programme is expected to further boost economic activities within Boluwaduro Local Government and enhance the living conditions of residents at the grassroots level.
